Alive & Free?
Freedom is where people started. No stress. No sickness. No sorrow. No pain. No guilt.
Life was beautiful living in The Garden of Eden.
God created the universe, from the expanse of space down to the details of a perfect place for people to live. When all was good for humans God formed Adam and breathed life into him. God made Eve from Adam. They were alive and free in the garden.
Adam and Eve had a personal relationship with God. He came to them in the garden.
They could eat from any of the trees except the one which would cause them to know good from evil and eventually die.
God did not force them to keep their relationship. They broke it by disobeying God’s command. They ate from the forbidden tree to be like God. They became dead in spirit and by nature, sinful (evil).
They lost all they had and the earth became a place cursed by their decision.
All people lost their freedom. All people die.
Gen:1-2

Lost to The Death Penalty
What Adam and Eve did is called sin.
Sin is not perfectly obeying ALL of God’s laws. Are you perfect?
Imperfect humans die if they just look into the face of the holy creator.
Imperfect humans cannot be in the Kingdom of God.
Unless they are rescued (saved) they go to a lake of fire called the second death.
One time there was only one man (Noah) and his family who acknowledged God. It was so bad that God had Noah build a boat to save his family and a pair of each kind of animal from a world-wide flood. Noah and his family were rescued (saved) from death.
God said to captives,
“Seek me with all your heart and you will find me and I will hear your prayers.”
He wanted a personal relationship and still wants you.
God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whoever believes in him shall be saved. You’ve seen the sign at ball games and etc., “John 3:16”.
God still loves you and wants to be with you.

The Way Back to Life & Freedom
Jesus was called “the lamb of God”. Remember sin required death. Until Jesus died, animals died, including perfect lambs, as a representation of Jesus coming to die once and for all time and for all people - each person. Jesus was the final perfect lamb.
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me”.
Before Jesus was beaten, whipped, and nailed to the cross He said, “Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.” Jesus was with God and all things were created through Him. He holds all things together.
He is in charge of all things spiritual and physical.
Jesus came back from the dead… the victory over death and the Devil.
God the Father gave all authority to Jesus.
When He sets you free you are free indeed.
“God’s work” is to believe in the Lord Jesus.
As Jesus is Lord, you may let Him be your Lord… in charge of you, even own you -
You were bought at a price by Jesus. Give your life to Him.
Jesus is the way; the only way. Jesus loves you.

Becoming Alive & Free
If you confess out loud that Jesus is Lord
and believe in your heart that He rose from the dead you shall be saved.
Jesus was amazed at a man’s faith who just believed Jesus’ authority.
You can trust Jesus and give Him authority over your sin, over yourself.
The Bible says die to yourself, be alive in Him, live in Him and He in you (it’s a supernatural spiritual thing). Jesus says, "Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear me and let me in, we shall eat together“.
God still loves you and wants to be with you.
Humans are spirits in physical bodies. Alive is alive in spirit and free from acting as a slave to sin. Is there anything you just can’t quit? That is slavery to sin.
Freedom is free from sin and guilt.
Give Jesus authority for your whole life. Just tell Him, “Forgive me Jesus, I am a sinner. I turn to you. I give you authority over me, everything about me, my whole life and future forever. You own me - You bought me.” Amen.
With that, you have started a new life.

Struggling at Being Alive & Free
At whatever point we are told “to do” or “not to do” there is a struggle, with little things in the beginning of living “in Jesus”, with bigger and more difficult things as time goes by.
At every temptation we face the same thing Adam and Eve fell for,
“I just want to be like God” and we sometimes fall for it
and just do that thing we would rather avoid but somehow don’t.
What do you want to be in charge of in your life?
Our struggle is not against people or things, but spiritual forces of evil. The devil and the demons are working and deceiving, wanting us to fail and fail and fail.
We find we still can’t be perfect on our own.
God said through Paul that even though we agree with God in our minds, we still sin, but not us, it is sin in us. We cry out, “What a wretched human I am, who will rescue me from this body of death? Praise to God, it is through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
We struggle, we fail, we cry out for God’s rescue.
We confess again that He is God, we are not.
Ro7:7-25 Gen2 Eph6:12

Being Alive & Free
So, there is no condemnation for us who live in Jesus.
God’s law is perfect but could not save us because it requires our obedience.
So the law was fulfilled through Jesus’ death and resurrection. He gave us a new law: Spirit and life. The Holy Spirit is given to us for enabling us to believe in Jesus, to empower us as Jesus’ witnesses, to cause us to live by Jesus’ example instead of the old law… all by granting Jesus and the Holy Spirit authority over us and our lives - giving our lives to Him because He bought us, paid for us with His death. -
Every temptation is common to all humans. But God is faithful and won’t let us be tempted beyond our resistance, but will give us a way out.
The way out of a sin we can’t get rid of is to ask God to rescue us.
The mind controlled by the Holy Spirit is life and peace.
ASK GOD TO USE YOU TO TELL OTHERS ABOUT JESUS.
